Germany’s largest brand study, commissioned by Focus Money and Deutschland Test, has awarded the BÄR Schuhe brand the “Germany’s Best Shoe Retailers” seal. This places BÄR among the TOP 8 shoe retailers nationwide and in the upper tier of positive customer ratings. This result shows the brand to be a strong anchor for consumers seeking guidance.
This award proves the trust placed in the BÄR Schuhe brand. From the very beginning, BÄR has worked with the best materials in manufactory quality to earn this trust. When purchasing their shoes, BÄR customers should always be able to rely on the quality, continuous technical and fashion progress, and above all the familiar BÄR principle of 100% Toe freedom for natural and healthy walking. To achieve this, BÄR is constantly expanding its expertise—with a current focus on sports and hiking shoes.
Earlier this year, BÄR presented a newly developed two-component sole that, among other features, helped the BÄR running shoe “Light Impulsion” inspire customers with its permanently elastic resilience and unsurpassed lightness, as well as achieve a positive test result from RUNNING magazine. The range of BÄR hiking shoes is also packed with function and comfort: fatigue-free hiking without blisters! In addition, this year BÄR is making a fashion statement with the re-edition of the “London” women’s model by design icon Luigi Colani and has more highlights in store in the current fall-winter collection. The “Germany’s Best” study was conducted on behalf of Focus Money and Deutschland Test: 20,000 brands from 258 product segments were analyzed based on 33.4 million statements from online media and social media. The brands that performed particularly positively in customers’ perceptions were awarded the “Germany’s Best” seal—BÄR Schuhe is among them. At the end of October, a special Focus issue will be published with detailed coverage of the largest study of customer ratings ever conducted in Germany. BÄR is especially pleased with this award because it is based on customers’ positive perceptions of the brand. BÄR Shearling Shoes & Shearling Slippers for Women and Men—Comfortable, Warm and Cozy
Shearling not only keeps you especially warm, it is also breathable and transports moisture away from the foot to the outside. In addition, the wool fibers adapt to the natural shape of the foot and provide a wonderfully comfortable step. For robust winter shoes, BÄR uses specially processed shearling from southern Europe.
To ensure that both shoes in a pair ultimately look the same, special attention is required during processing, since this is a natural product and the fibers do not grow uniformly as they would from a loom. Once the firmness, grain direction and hide thickness have been assessed by hand and the color has been checked, the experienced “cutters” punch out each individual piece by hand using strip-steel tools.
In shearling shoes for outdoor wear, areas subject to wear are reinforced with durable cowhide. The special feature of “Doubleface” leathers is that a second upper leather is not used for the shoe; instead, the reverse side of the hide serves as the surface. This means that only one material touches your foot. Our specialists therefore also inspect the leather side for grain and uniformity. To ensure the necessary winter durability, our buyers select only hides with a strong leather layer, tanned particularly firmly and compactly. In our slippers, such as the “Lammfell Mokassin 2.0,” the “Doubleface” traditionally wraps around the entire foot. BÄR shoes made from natural shearling skillfully combine the benefits and functions of this natural product with 100% Toe freedom.
